Fighter Bomber was especially good on it. As a Z80-based computer, the CPC is rather good at running vector gfx games. CPC: I used to play this a lot at some friend place. But never played any games on it, so I can't really tell. VIC20: I had one of these until my dad took it to his medical lab. Anyway I really love this little bugger, as it was the machine I first wanted my parents to buy me. Speccy: Crisp clear hi-res gfx, but not very colourful.

I am sure a lot of people will be glad to help. XaMpi: Simply open a new thread and post your questions regarding instrument design there. There are still some of us, who use "native" C64 editors. Why narrow down the number of possible participants even further by restricting it to Goattracker ? The SID "scene" is a very "exclusive" one already.

Posts: have you checked my goattracker tutorial? Goattracker V2.67 Tutorial remember the 3rd edition? best music compo ever. Some good internet competition would be great though, now that there's no annual c64.sk sid compo. you may note there were TWO Goat Tracker compos in the past - all sources from the last one are included in every GT2 release archive. Then how many C64 composers are using GoatTracker?ĬRD, Linus, Radiantx, Jammer, Hein, Zabutom and many more. I See your point and your probably wright, but I would like to see one and by the way I am trying to learn about the SID. The C64 scene isn't exclusive in that matter. That said, looking at others' tunes to learn techniques isn't a bad idea, but the example tunes distributed with GoatTracker should more than suffice for that purpose.Īnd I know of no "GoatTracker scene", despite being an avid GoatTracker user since 2003.īut a active GoatTracker scene would be great!Īs in, a "GoatTracker" scene separate from the rest of the C64 scene? Being a C64 scener I don't see the point. If you don't know how the SID works then you're bound to do mistakes, because even premade instruments depend on knowledge of how for example ring modulation and filters work. There really aren't any shortcuts when it comes to making good music, not with GoatTracker or with any other editor. If someone like to say something about this idea or give me some advice or help in some way please do. You can help other GoatTracker users and provide them with new songs to learn from and that would be great! Think about all the instruments we can use and assemble if there are people willing to attend this competition.

Ok before you burn me to the ground I know it's a very small price for a lot of work, but the real goal of this project is to make a tribute to the GoatTracker scene. It's the Atari Flashback 1 so to be totally honest it's not really a Atari 2600 inside it's a very hack able NES on a chip with remakes of some popular Atari games on it. Hello CSDb people I got a new Atari flashback game console and really like to donate it for a GoatTracker SidCompo. Welcome to our latest new user Phyton !
